Wii Fit U launched to 22K in this weeks NA charts...which are about 4% of the original games opening....and about 12% of the sequel Wii Fit Plus'

Quite a contrast to WIi Fits 620K Blockbuster launch (LTD sales of 8.9 Million in NA) & Wii Fit Plus' 177K launch (LTD sales of 8.1 Million in NA)..wow the latter one had great legs!

Although this isn't a huge shock it's just sad to see such a huge potential release has come completely under the radar.

Did anyone in NA see marketing for this game?

Maybe they should've launched it in the holidays.

First Nintendo kinda screwed up capitalizing on WIi Sports for WiiU & now Wii Fit U has been mishandled.

Anyway I wonder how far up this game will go in terms of sales. Wii Fit Plus showed that the series can open lower & still climb to a similar total. Obviously no-one expects this from Wii Fit U now...but let's see...maybe 1-2 Million LTD isn't out of question.

Considering the free trial is still ongoing, you kind of have to be stupid to buy Wii Fit u right now. You can find a cheaper used balance board and get the Wii Fit meter and you'd have spent less than the game is currently retailing for

It's barely been marketed (at least from what I've seen)

If they advertised it on HGTV and TLC and what not, the casual audience that bought it on the Wii would definitely flock to it.

It also might be low because it was free for a month to owners of the balance board.

I'm surprised it sold at all. Why would the casuals buy this when they already have it for the Wii (and are probably not even using it those new year resolution breaking bastards)

I would like to see how many Wii Fit meters they have sold. I only say that because the Gamestops in Tampa all had at least 15 Wii Fit boards each, and as this game got closer they just disappeared. (I bought one too). This game probably will sell horrible in retail but with the digital sales combined will be a pretty solid seller.
