Oh man... that Vita US numbers is just depressing, as seeing the Wii U go back to its pre-holiday numbers. :<

did people really expect Wii u to NOT go back to its pre holiday numbers? Or vita in the US to not go down?

Actually, I did  expect this down turn to happen on both but I really hoped, that it would be a bit better than that though.

Come to think of it maybe depressing is such a light term to use in this situation. May be devastating would be a better term.

there was nothing to suggest that this woulnt happen. Some people let the holiday sales blind them

Very depressing NA number for Vita but they were expected. On a more positive note it's at least still tracking above it's 2013 numbers thanks to Japan!

Vita's first 2 weeks:

2014- 197,609
2013- 131,840

PSN: extremeM

PlayStation Vita Japanese Software Sales (Media Create Physical/ Famitsu Digital)

Wow @ ps4.
I do wonder how much can ps4 sell if sony would ship enough.

Well not expecting a down turn to happen is just silly. Especially with the reception on the Vita and Wii U but alas I still wished it was better, even just a little.

Wii U :(

Next week number is when PS4 got some decent stock in US and EU.... I expect the sales to increase.

Thank you based Japan!

I think vita will be in an extreme rut in the US until final fantasy X comes out, that will provide a little relief.  Its main problem now is lack of shelf space in stores.  With the PS4's success its now time to reintroduce the handheld (or maybe at E3 with a new model, price cut and playstation now)

Vita is starting to have evergreen titles in Japan, God Eater still in the top 20 and FFX holding in the top 5 ish. Total for January will probably outsell 2013 and 2012 combined.  Very promising.

PS4 numbers will most likely rise next week judging from the UK charts and resupply in the US (i.e. bestbuy lines on Sunday)

Yeah, those pictures of queues outside of Gamestop surely suggest you're right.

I still can't understand the PS3 adjustment. That's around 3 million it's been adjusted down over the last 12 months.

The PS5 Exists.
