Do you think Sony will do a better job at marketing their games this generation? I do not want to see another game such as Puppeteer fail because Sony did not want to promote the game.

Conventional advertising has really changed over the years. I think the days of seeing a commercial for X game on TV are well past over (at least for games on puppeteer's level).

Sony is advertising where the eyeballs are so you are more likely to see backdrops on sites like this, youtube commercials and information on their official blog. Advertising on TV will be strictly for the big budget games like pretty much all western games, Final Fantasy etc.

If they manage to get out of the hole they have dug themselves financially, im sure they will. Unless they r total idiots they have to have learned a lot from their successes and failures so far.

Nope. I dont think they will ever put any significant marketing into Puppeteer or games like it. UNLESS the game is Journey or Flower and initially sell well on their own merit and get all sorts of awards etc.

I think we will see top heavy advertising support, Sony will market their AAA titles pretty well.

They really don't need to advertise much... Microsoft already did it for them. And no one really finds Nintendo's console worth it atm.

I love what they did with the PS4 Marketing....but what dafaq is SCEA doing with the Vita Marketin g? That's the only thing holding me down to say that their marketing is good

Our poor Vita is nothing but an accessory :(

It will always be a problem for them cause they don't have that much money, and MS will always out do them at marketing games due to their deep pockets. Hopefully it won't be too much of a problem though, and the PS4's huge install base will make the games sell well.
