I think what Nintendo is banking on is trying to come out with something new and "innovative" to make their console sell rather than just trying to please the "hardcore" Sony/MS fans with pure raw power and nothing out of the norm and I think they have every right to think like that as well... Its just their execution that failed hard and it had every right to fail hard cause the execution was so bad... If the wiiU was just as powerful as the ps4 and costed $400 and didn't have a gamepad, would you really buy a wiiU instead of a ps4? Like really? Would you actually give up games like Uncharted, Killzone, Infamous, GT and etc for Mario, Smash, Zelda, X and etc? Probably not cause thats why people choose to go with Sony in the first place |
If Nintendo released an up to date console on par with the PS4 for only 400$, I would graldy choose it over the PS4. On top of that I would most likely go Nintendo only for the generation. Nintendo's latest consoles have just been terible for gamers, and it forces people like me to have to default to Sony's console. I'm not really a deticated Playstation fan. I've always prefered Nintendo's consoles, because they have historicly offered the better gaming experience. However, I'm not going to tolerate a console like the Wii with it's poorly excecuted controls, lack of HD support, and limited online features. Nintendo needs to bring the gaming side of their consoles up to todays standards. It's the same concept as wanting to play a multi-plat on a console instead of the handheld version. Realisticly, the handeld version of the game is not going to be as good as the console version. That's the position I feel Nintendo's consoles are in right now.
