You guys should just wait to play the game before saying it is overhyped.. This game is create by respawn.. that is why I am giving it the benefit of the doubt.. we will see.

Praise the One.

Hmmm, this is going to sell well. But it need good reviews or the hype loses a lot of strengh

The hardest PS fanboy I know in something called "RL" played it already at GamesCom... And even he said that Titanfall is the best FPS he has played in years.

I am hyped and got it on preorder, but won't play much, because I am about to be a father in 3 weeks.

Congratulations, man! That's awesome

@OP: I think it's a little overhyped, but fans and critics seem to genuinely love what they've seen/played.

Personally, I'm excited to see what it's all about, but I understand if others are suffering from shooter fatigue.

Personally I don't see it. It's online only (meh) and just a shooter... nothing makes me feel this is anything special.

*But* seeing the queues at Eurogamer, did make me think that there is a lot of player hype rather than just press hype.

*But2*.. I do feel that the press have taken this game as their tentpole "MassivePr" game. everything i read from the press is generally OTT on this game, like its the second coming.

Perhaps the game is that good, but I do feel sometimes the press like jumping on bandwagons... you know its either massively positive or massively negative. After last years PR blunders with the console launches.. not sure I care when PR sites are hyping stuff up anyway anymore.

It looks so EPIC!! Honestly the PS4 is taking a bit hit from this.

And this game could be pretty huge in Japan if marketed well!

Doubt it Japanese aren't that much into FPS.

Call of Duty is selling about half a million each year on PS360. That's more than Gundam games..

That's a lot.

Coupled with giants robots Titanfall has a lot of potientiel if marketed right.

I will be surprises if it sells over 100K on the 360 and X1 combined in Japan.

How much to japanesse play games on PC? Just curious.

Its COD with mechs. They just beefed it up and made it faster paced with jetpacks. The COD fans will come flocking. The hype is legitimate. Some people just can't understand why popular things are popular. Its simple for people to get the hang of and even Adam Sessler said he even posed a threat in it while at the same time being extremely fun. Its very easy to explain how a game like this stole Destiny's thunder as the best FPS at E3 and every other conference since. Seven months was all the needed and the hype is purely based on multiplayer. If you guys don't get it you never will.

http://vimeo.com/84446805 get to see the ai in action at about 1:40. Probably some of the worst ai I've ever seen in a video game since Shadow Fall :^)

Without more PR nonsense about MUH HEART CANT TAKE THE ACTION why can't the ai units be player controlled and the amount of titans on the map at the same time be limited?

Perhaps a little overhyped but that comes as a bonus when hands-on impressions have been so good. Everyone who tried it is praising it. That must mean something.

It's a 95% Meta incoming and will be absolutely huge. Between all three versions it should reach 10 million in 2014 (and with the sequel likely being on PS4 it will grow to the extent of going head to head with COD in popularity).

Also the timing of release couldn't be more perfect by releasing so close after the disappointments with Call of Duty Ghosts, Battelfield 4 and Halo on a decline.

lol.  You keep saying this dont you mate.... I guess you will be right eventually, perhaps by Halo 9?

No chance.

1.) Halo as a series is on a slight decline, and gets fierce competition from COD.

2.) All software sales are down this late in the gen (TheSource could probably show those charts which say SW is down 20% on a yearly basis and that has to reflect on big titles as well).

3.) And there's not much time for having as long legs as say Halo 3 since Xbox 3 is only one year away and after that the interest in the X360 will rapidly decline.

So a realistic expectation is 9 million lifetime for Halo 4.

9 million already and still counting.  Tracking ahead of Halo 3 and there is no doubt it will have far higher digital sales already too.

I'm not really here!

EA sucks in general, I expect them to drop the ball on this game (screwing Respawn) and disappoint folks one way or another.
