Mario Galaxy. It reawakened my passion for gaming, which had fallen into a coma for years.

One day, i'm gonna pick up a wii and play through galaxy 1-2, xenoblade, brawl, and skyward sword.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. :)

I say Assassin's Creed. It brought the open world craze upon us by showing us what was possible in a truly open world.

True, but i think that the fps genre is more popular (though it seems to be changing) than open-world games, and that is why COD 4 was more influential IMO

The title reads "YOUR most inflential game" ;)

I don't care much for military shooters but AC was an eye opener for me.

Actually Mirror's Edge had a much greater impact on me but i can't call it influential because I have yet to see more first person parkour games.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Little Big Planet 2 bar none

...uhh...ill just put my favorite quote of all time here.

"Welcome to Pain, the second of three...You have dealt the first...now deal with me!!"

It's not listed, but nothing immersed me into a game as much as the Mass Effect series did. The universe and characters that BioWare built was extremely impressive. The story was top notch and by far above anything else I experienced. The story kind of derailed in the last 10 minutes of the ME3, but I enjoy the journey more than the destination. Mass Effect 2 was my favorite game from the series, but for the purpose of the thread, the original Mass Effect was the most influential for me, because it start to an amazing story.

For gaming in general the most influential game has to be COD4... Whether you like it or not, it had so much influence on games, and really expanded the yearly installment thing to something outside of sports games.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Mine would be Halo: Reach.

It was the first FPS I really got into, and got good enough to actually enjoy the game. Plus, there is so much that happens - you are fighting, and giant shells are flying overhead, some space ship is flying around, and if you walk over, it will start attacking with you.

In all other games I played, you could always find a 'safe zone' where some of the background things are just decoration, and can't hurt you. You could walk up and wave at them.

Plus the giant shells flying overhead were terrifying. Especially when they blow you up.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Zelda skyward sword for the amazing feeling of 1:1 swordfighting. mario galaxy because the game was just perfect. xenoblade because of the incredible experience and HUGE step up on the jrpg genre.

Of those three, which one do you think had the most influence on the industry?

I'll go with skyward sword.
