What was the most influential game?

Mario Galaxy 55 34.59%

Red Dead Redemption 11 6.92%

COD4: MW 31 19.50%

Xenoblade 10 6.29%

Uncharted 2 41 25.79%

GTA V 7 4.40%

Total:155

Fallout New Vegas. I was on a Call of Duty binge where it was the only game I played for a year, I even sold my PS3 so I could get the early DLC on Xbox. Eventually I just stepped back and decided I wanted nothing to do with the franchise anymore. I bought Fallout cause my sister said it was great, and it turned me back into a real gamer. I wouldn't be a Nintendo fan now if it wasn't for Fallout (I know, that sounds weird.)

Oh and also it's just an all around great game. My second favorite game of Gen 7.

My most influential games of last gen are:

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - the most perfect TPS of the generation. Incredible SP and MP. Perfect.

2. Assassin's Creed - one of the most ambitious games of the early years in the generation.

3. COD: MW - put the FPS genre on a plateau higher than ever before.

4. Killzone 2 - one of the best FPS of the generation. Period. It put all modes together in MP so as to give the gamer a slice of everything without having to quit a match and enter another mode.

5. Gears of War - great use of co-op in SP and MP. It has it's flaws. Lack of character development and story. Still a classic.

6. Batman: Arkham Asylum - the superhero genre FINALLY got the AAA title it needed to revitalise the genre.

7. LIMBO - a game I define as "dark platformer". Mario and co. make platforming fun and charming. LIMBO brings puzzles and horrors for the ride. An unforgettable game. A masterpiece.

havent played limbo(no comment on cod) but the rest of your list i wouldve posted if i had the time. id add starhawk to the list though. and the original conke.  great list.

COD4 for better or worse.

Look at what it's done to the shooter genre and gaming as a whole. Spawned many clones and forced many franchises to copy aspects of COD itself.

May not like it but it is what it is

ITT: people don't know what influencial means

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
