It hasn't worked, yet, though. Sony is still leading. And really, MS has no other option, at the moment. Even with plenty of stock for the One, and limited stock for the PS4, in the regions they are both in, Sony is trouncing them everywhere but the US. Even if Xbox pulls ahead (we'll have to see how January goes to see normal sales out of holiday periods), they will probably only lead there by 1.2:1 when all is said and done. That's not what I would call a clear market leader.
