Is Google Play content that makes people buy the devices?

In other words, you say Miiverse adds value, I say it doesn't really matter.

It makes people buy Android devices.

Nintendo should've baked an android player of sorts into wii u. Then they could pick and choose android games to sell through eShop, just as Amazon's devices do the same.

That could easily and massively grow the game content available as well as Nintendo's digital revenue.

Games like Candy Crush Saga could've been there very quickly.

Candy Crush is grossing more than $100m per month which would be the same as selling 2.5m copies per month of a game that costs $40 so Candy Crush is actually bigger than just about any game in the world in the last 12 months (aside from GTA V, Ghosts and possibly FIFA).

Although when you take into account that once Apple takes their 40% fee, the remaining 60% goes straight to King (compared to maybe 20-30% for a typical retail game) and the fact that the game cost less than $100k to make compared to ($260m for GTA) then would have made significantly more profit to date than even GTA V and possibly any other game in existance.

I think Gungho and Supercell with Puzzle and Dragon and Clash of Clans were above King with Candy Crush for most of the year in the monthly revenue list from both the Google Playstore and Appstore..

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Completely different markets, but it is interesting to see several 1 billion+ games and how they compare: Call of Duty vs. GTAV vs Candy Crush vs. Puzzle & Dragons vs. Clash of Clans. Shows how immense the games market is when such hugely dfferent games can enjoy such success.
