me too, i honestly thought both 3DS and WiiU would be HEAVILY undertracked this NPD. im eating so much crow for my wrong predictions xD

obviously, this is good news for those who thought WiiU to be another Vita, as Nintendo managed to make the WiiU go up YoY in the holidays compared to where sony didnt manage to do so with Vita. WiiU might be selling meh, but its not dead in the usa.

511k is actually very good for a dead console (at least according to few ). Good job Nintendo!


If Wii U got over 511k with just SM3DW, then this generation is going to a 3 horse race again.   I thought 400k was fair, but anything over half a million would a big suprise.

You doubt that the article is correct?

I'm not doubting that. But obviously they could just mean 2013, which would be a massive blow. It happens.

What I mean is, let's not get ahead of ourselves until we see the ACTUAL numbers.

511k..So less than 360 ?

Maybe, maybe not.  I said 511K because that's the current highest month we have on record at VGChartz.  So, if that figure is currect, and the statement is correct, it would have to be higher than 511K meaning somewhere between 511K and infinite.  Could be under 360 or could be over.  Most likely under unless the Wii U is REALLY REALLY undertracked.  Of course, that's assuming the statement and the past figures are accurate.  However, it does seem that the Wii U is undertracked at any rate.
