Ok so I know it's considered grasping at straws or maybe trolling idk but I recently saw amazon's 2014 best sellers chart to see the ds4 controller above xbone. I don't know what to make of it. Last year on amazon ds4 was below xbone by one place in 2013 overall sales. How much profit is made per controller? Because the ds4 is selling really really well.

That's the thing I was saying about the PS4 at launch. It may not make a profit on the actual console (or maybe a tiny one), but they are definitely making a profit with the DS4's at $60 a piece.

DS4 has a lightbar, touch pad and feels like the perfect controller, its also far less expensive. Ofcourse it would outsell the xBone

Oh I just realized that ds4 works with pc and ps3's so that could be another reason why :)

Why are controllers as expensive as a game?

casue games are severly overpriced.  

Blame the retailers imo. They take a big cut from disk sales. Also dev. costs are factored in and they are not small #'s. Plus companies need to profit to fund future games as well.
