Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Target sends back dozens of X1's

Maybe cause people are avoiding that store after the data breach. I know I have.

Target in my area is closing also. OP where's your proof anyway? Say it and they'll believe it?

Lol why would anyone shop at Target after this has been all over the news. http://news.yahoo.com/worried-might-among-70-million-target-breach-victims-153058251.html
Target is like the 4th or 5th stop for video games at least for ppl I know. I think numbers would show similar. GameStop BestBuy Wal-Mart and online.

Just pay with cash?

Damn, this doesn't look good for the X1. Sure, Titanfall, Quantum Break, and Halo 5 will move a lot of X1's when they launch, but it looks like the console will really stagnate in between the games' launches. I think a price cut or a Kinectless SKU is going to come up pretty soon.

Halo 4 has been anounced for this year but Im not quite sure about it, we havent even seen 1 footage of the game yet (the actual game, not masterchief in poncho) and itll launch after Destiny and Titanfall if both those games hit a homerun I dont think Halo 4 will have as much impact as other Halo games have had in the past, still its Halo so itll probably move consoles. Quantim Break I realy dont think we gona see it launched this year, the way the devs speak about it it seens like its far from ready to launch yet.

Seeing as Halo 4 was released a couple of years ago now, I doubt will see anymore new footage of it either.

Ok, so its not as bad a situation as the title suggests but clearly most of X1 demand has been met for now.

That's what happens when you launch at 500 dollars.. With a weaker machine.. And machine destroyed by the press, still tho 3 million in a month is nuts

There are a bunch of xbones in every store a visit, maybe this will occur everywhere.

When you dont have to? I always use my debit and im very glad i didnt during the holiday season at Target. I definitely would not have shopped there for VG stuff unless there was a good sell. It would have been a last resort

Sony needs to up thier production not having enough consoles is hampering their sales here in the US i have a bunch of friends still trying to get a ps4 and a couple are close to saying F it and grab a X1 from one of many retailers who have them sitting on the shelves.

This was bound to happen though, as all the sales numbers we've been getting so far have not arrived at the 3 million number Microsoft announced as sold a couple of weeks ago.

The channel has been stuffed and that can happen for a while, but you can't keep on doing it, not if your product is not selling as fast. Next quarter numbers from the Xbone will be dissapointing for most to say the least.
