There is no suck main-character in the story... the focus is political wars (at least at begging).
The shows is AMAZING.
But I think TWD is a better show... weak story (GoT have a better plot) but in terms of TV Series the TWD is better.

LOL, TWD is poor period, weak writing, terrible plots, almost no character development. Somethign like GOt is adult, mature, slow detailed plotting, in depth, makes TWD look like amateur hour. HBO shows in general take a mroe detailed, realistic look at story telling.TWD is not even in the top 10 TV shows on right now, GOT is one of the top shows on TV.
OP, sounds like you are used to typical simplistic point a to point b plots of regulat shows, shows like GOT are far more complex, in depth then that. If thats the case stay away from the higher tier shows like GOT, mad men, Boardwalk empire, etc....

Didn't say that, dont put words in my mouth, having vastly better writing, acting stroylines do. TWd is terrible lol. Every character in GOT is mult-layered and people act/behave in a way reale poeple would/do, with no real good/bad but areas of gray. TWd is typical point a to point b plotting with little to no thinking required, and dialog that spells everything out for the viewer, and some really bad plot holes and storylines.
Comparing TWd to GOT is laughable at best, GOT is on another level then something like that show.

Quality wise TWd is second rate.. it's writing and plots are laughable compared to something like GOT. Heck TWd is not even clsoe to the best show on its own channel.
