Hey, sorry for the long wait on the responses here. I've been ill for a couple of weeks so didn't log on.

I've done some coding in the past, mainly web design, but nothing overly worthwhile. I've written a couple of game mods too, mainly Civilization IV, which I got quite into the mod community for. I know bits and peices of loads of different coding languages, but nothing at a professional level so there's very little I could code that would be worth being paid for. Coding is a low paid, highly competitive job, so for me to get into it I'd have to first self-teach a lot more of the languages than what I already know, and then be able to reliably put in the hours to get work done. As I can have a migraine or seizure without more than an hour or so warning and literally be unable to get out of bed for the next two days due to pain and fatigue; I'm simply not a reliable investment for any company working to deadlines. It's a sad thing but I understand why I'm effectively unemployable.

Yes indeed that is me in my avatar.
As for the imperium, honestly; I just never found the 40k universe engaging. It always felt like a rip-off of the fantasy universe with a gloss of sci-fi paint and that sits badly with me; plus there's no real unit movement in the game as everything effectively skirmishes. Without formations, so much of the tactics are lost I find. Still each to their own I say.

I can imagine, I got really into 40k with the Black library books due to the resemblance with Dune. The game itself there is few thing that rival a good vs evil battle. A compagny of blood angels with a retinue of a Inquisitor vs a bloodthirster with some other minor deamons, altho the bigger battles tend to bore me with several units engaged in close combat and discussions about units being in line of sight or not.

I never got a chance to read the books myself. though I have read Dune and the film with John Travolta is hilarious. I can't really comment much on the game of 40k as I've never really played; but then to do so is a big investment so it's something you have to be sure you'll like before you start.

That's quite the introduction. I must admit I was only skimming through the post until I saw Ehlers-Danlos and Fibromyalgia. I suffer from both these conditions as well, including the occasional migraine, not as severe as you describe it just yet. I don't require any medication, though I am a heavy marijuana user which does wonders for some of the chronic pains, especially the lower back for me.
I would just like to say that I admire your positivity, it is something this world is lacking. Welcome, I'll be looking forward to reading more from you.

I would say it's a pleasure to meet someone with the same issues, but that strikes me as a rather sadistic statement to make. Instead I'll simply say I hope you present with less phenotypical traits than I. When it comes to pain I've tried a lot of things, though never tried marijuana; only prescription drugs which I'm taking a lot of at current. I doubt something with such a mild chemical composition as marijuana would be overly effective with me, especially as I currently take opiates amongst others. Add that I'm also heavily asthmatic so smoking it would be hard at best, and it's simply not viable.
Still it's a pleasure to chat, and I hope to see more from you in the near future on this forum.
Sorry for this response being a bit haphazard and rather late, but I was unfortunately unable to concentrate on the forums long enough to be posting here; I am however feeling better now so hopefully more posts will be on their way.
