Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Bruceongames: SSBB will not be a big game for 2008

Wow. That's all I have to say. He doesn't take into account that most of those games above SMG in that list were multiplatform. Plus, his point is wrong. If SSBM sold to 30% of the Gamecube userbase, why wouldn't SSBB sell well?

Meh... thats about all I can I come up with to comment on his thoughts. Cause to be honest I (and most likely every Wii owner reading this) already seen this kind of stupid so many times before it's not even worth acknowledging with a thinly veiled insult.

Wii Code: 7588-3685-3257-4150

Brawl Code: 0301-9768-7224

You know the drill if you add me pm your codes.

It's gonna be fun to watch this play out. I think this guy is retarded and the game will sell very very well, but I'm not convinced as to how well. If it sells the same as the last one with a system that will have a much bigger base, than to an extent he would be right. But the only thing I'm gonna trust are the numbers when they come out.

this year will turn out to be quite a shock for Wii fans. WAY too much overestimation on their part.

Japan was not the biggest market for Melee with about 1.5 million. Melee sold almost 3 times more in the US with 4 million. And PAL regions sold a million.

Japan is already at 1.15 million after 2 weeks...and I think Brawl hype is much bigger in the US, and the PAL regions have tons of hype as well.  Plus the Wii is almost at the Gamecube's lifetime userbase and growing every day...Brawl will sell steadily for a long time like Melee did.  Melee was one of a few games that never got discounted below $30 because it keeps selling to this day.

I don't know how this game could do bad by any definition.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

@___O_o______
Yeah, we way overestimated Brawl, it only outsold Galaxy in Japan in less then half the time galaxy's been out!

Bruceongames is a poser who believes that the industry and market work the way he wants it to work, and when he is proven wrong he begins to behave like an immature 12 year old.

All these the Wii is doomed predictions are becoming increasingly dumber and dumber. A game that already sold a million copies in its first week and a half in its smallest market and hasn't yet been released in the US where the amount of pre-orders are close to the amount for Halo 3 can not be considered a failure by any definition...

 Don't feed the trolls. O_o is one of the worst Sony trolls around but is normal quiet so he stays under the radar. He is worse than Leo-j, and in some ways worse than Crazzyman. Just ignore him and hopefully he will go away.

450,000 per week worldwide works out to being 23.5 Million units per year without considering holiday season boosts; when you factor in typical holiday season sales it works out to 31.5 Million units per year. The Wii has already passed 20 Million units per year, is selling at an anualized rate of over 30 Million units per year and you don't think it will pass 40 by the end of the year?
