Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why do we keep here different account stories about Wii u hardware power.

why does it matter when we have games that look better on WiiU than on PS360? you tell from there that these people are lying or they aren't professional developers so they just don't know how to program.

really we do? ps3/360 exlusives still look much better then anything on wiiu imo, and most multiplatform games are still running much better on 360/ps3 even after a year.

As far as I know, Need For Speed: Most Wanted U was the definitive console version, and it looked considerably better when compared to PS360 versions. Same with Fifa 13, EA stated that the Wii U's version was superior simply due to the console being more powerful or, at least, that's what I've heard.
Overall, I dislike EA a little bit, but they seem to be the ones who properly optimized their games on Wii U the most. It's a shame they cut their relation with Nintendo.

no it's not, especially when both the gpu's come from the same manufacturer, there are reasons why devs made those claims, i posted in the op, neogaf was the forum that confirmed 160 shaders, so i don't get why you posted that link.

R500 and R700 class shaders are not comparable. Also, the Espresso implementation has extra customisation to R700, it's not copy pasted.

But the most basic argument I have is: Espresso has several times the transistor count of Xenon, and GPUs  are easily parallelisable. If it doesn't perform better, WTF are the extra transistors for?

SM3DW looks better besides some 3rd party games do look slightly better plus the games coming this year.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I don't have a problem with the specs. What bothers me is the controller making the console more expensive that it needs to be.

Mario world looks good but it doesn't look nearly as good as the best ps3/360 games, the only thing inpressive about is that it runs 60 fps, its very linear game with out much going on, cpu is hardly being used and no AA.

Qft.

people seem blind to that when they talk about 3d world. The mean reason is because it's the best looking mario game ever. which isn't really saying all that much.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

Apart from Multiplatform games that run worst because of deadlines and budget constraints (accept it haters), the only proof of WiiU power that we have is Nintendo firts party offerings.
All of them look like enhanced Wii games tbh, but very enhanced also. One thing that ive noticed is that every Nintendo game features those post processing effects as well a strong use of shading like ultra glossy.
All in all, i think WiiU architecture really fits Nintendos needs and their Ips aesthetics.
I just fail to comprehend how people kill Nintendo for making the best for themselves...
