you say TLOF is not GOTY worthy, because its just another zombie game, and that either SM3DW or Zelda deserves that honor.
3DW looked and played almost as did every mario game before it.
LB2W plays out like almost every other Zelda game. Find the weapon, find the cave, battle the boss with said weapon.
A new IP won GOTY and to me thats a great thing for the industry.

I loved the gameplay. It certainly has slow parts like the rafts and ladders, but do those short sections detract from the amazing combat before and after?

Did you play the game on survival? That made it a completely different experience. Bloaters were freaking intense!

I don't think we're all going to ever agree here so let me just say a few things.

-I still think The Last of Us is one of the best games this year

-I'll admit, my summary of the game play was terrible. Actually, my summary of the game in general was terrible. Please disregard the OP completely. It's pretty much exaggerated versions of my own thoughts.

-People using the argument that my favorite game is 3D World and yet I classified TLoU as another shooter, I understand your point. However, the cat suit added much more potential to the platforming (ex. branching paths, ways to completely skip level sections, finding secrets.) This also applies to the other playable characters. I prefer platformers to shooters as well, so I guess it's my preference.

-Saying ALBW was just another Zelda is incorrect. Dungeons in any order, being able to have all the weapons from the beginning, being able to merge with the wall to solve puzzles. It's simply an inaccurate statement. Plus, it's my 3rd favorite Zelda, and the best one to come out since Wind Waker.

-GTA V was the most innovative game this year, to me. It was nothing like I ever played, it was...wow. This same could be applied to TLoU for some people.

The Last of Us was a great experience worthy of the praise it gets... It wasn't my personal GoTY. The only thing that I found truly amazing about the game was the relationship between Joel and Ellie... In terms of overall story though, I've played better.

I really can't believe how stupid gamers have become. People did not blast there opinion 10 or 20 years ago why now? Oh wait the internet so people can now always complain. You know awards are stupid half of the time.

Also the TLOU was one of the best games of lags year.

You know what go and play a bad game like COD that you don't have to use any of your brain cells. Instead I would play a different game experience. Also thanks Naughty Dog the dev that made Crash bandicoot you have now made one of the most violent games in the last Generation of consoles. 😀
