Absolutely no chance in hell.

?? Why? If you factor europe it will be neck and neck, I can see infamous being the first big AAA exclusive on a better selling system outdoing TF. It won't be the landslide you are thinking.

You do realise that Infamous has never hit 3 million units sold on a console with 80 million installed, right? You're seriously trying to compete that with Microsofts next Gears of War/Halo/COD?

Again; not a chance in hell. That franchise will never have enough mainstream exposure to sell competitively.

Irrelevant, This will be by far the biggest selling infamous, first one on a new gen (See resistance FOM) and titanfall has not sold anything ever, it's a new IP. Considering how clsoe they are int he US with infamous having 1 extra week, saying no chance in hell is foolish.

Being the best selling Infamous is as relevant as talking about wether the Wii U or the Vita is selling better week by week. They are both selling like shit. Infamous as a brand has no brand recognition. No one but the hardest of core gamers will ever even hear about an Infamous game. Everyone and their mother will know about Titanfall because it appeals to casuals and the mass market. It's also an online multiplayer game, which means it has better legs and replay value. No straight thinking person could think that Infamous stands a chance. It doesn't matter how new of an IP Titanfall is. You're comparing a mountain to a mole hill. One week is insignifigant to a game like that.

Stop acting so personally hurt by it. No one is arguing that Titanfall will be better, but it will obvioulsly sell better, the same way COD and FIFA and GTA are always top sellers regardless of quality. Infamous will never have the audience to compete with a game like Titanfall, and that's fine.

You mad?? Who said I was hurt? Infamous second son IS the game that will move infamous forward, it will be big. Look at pre-orders, they are neck and neck, europe will be more slanted towards INfamous. Many think it has a chance because it does. TF is not some unstoppable juggernaut, it is a new iP on a  system that is selling a low slower then ps4, in an over crowded genre. No single player is also going to limit it.

First 2 infamous games are irrelevant, ss will be vastly bigger. Sony is going to push it hard and it has a lot of hype. Many casual gamers here know about it and plan on getting a ps4 when it drops. So there goes you "It has no recognition". It being the first big AAA exclusive on PS4 will move a lot of units.

You are in for a surprise. TF is not going to be that big, even EA has conservative estimates about the game.

Every thing you posted is just hopes and dreams. None of it are backed by any significant or relevant fact, because facts suggest that Infamous will be just as irrelevant as every other one was. Keep the dream alive though.

It is backed up by pre-order numbers...unlike your prediction ps4 or x1 would never pass the wii-u which was hopes and dreams lol. With europe I doubt TF is even ahead right now, infamous also has an extra week.  It's also a new IP and online only...there is a lot to support infamous will be as big or bigger, unlike your wii-u prediction.

Both sides have a point.

Got to point out though using the infamous on the struggling PS3 compared to a full reboot on the record breaking PS4 is a bit pointless, hell its a new game they just decided to use the name for some reason.

no, not going to happen.

No chance. Don't get fooled by pre-order numbers. Infamous is an established franchise that has its loyal 200k followers who will want to pre-order early while Titanfall is a game that will prove its greatness after launch and numbers will explode.

Infamous will be in the 2-3 million ballpark lifetime while Titanfall on Xbone alone will reach över 5 million.
(remember you read it here first)

They're in totally different leagues. Nothing against Infamous, but it's comparably a niche title, single players and will not be generally talked about after the first weeks after release, while Titanfall is a mass market shooter that will conquer awareness through all of 2014 and beyond.

Titanfall will get absolutely crazy reviews (95% Meta) and become a more popular game than Gears of Wars ever was and Titanfall as a franchise - once it gets out on PS4 - will eventually be up there with Battlefield and COD.

These are US totals for the week ending 2/15.

Titanfall gained an additional 20,446 pre orders this week over Second Son.

I dont see it. A well done, hyped, and well reviewed new online IP vs a 3rd game, single player only, Infamous has Gamefly/rental written all over it while titanfall has own until TF2 comes out.

I think initially Infamous has more working for it. Base, desire for good unique SP game showing off hardware but over the course of 6-12 months a growing online community of a well done new online IP thats not CoD will hold up very well.

Im going to say no way, jose

Titanfall week 1 numbers are up!  A very strong week indeed.  We're only a week away from seeing how inFAMOUS will compare. :D
