Just bought my copy on the eshop last week, and while it's not blowing my mind it's pretty neat.

Definitely. I dont even remember the last time Square brought out a really great Rpg. Namco Bandai took over the role playing genre in recent years.

I thought it didn't release until next month? I like the demo. It certainly does remind me of the Square I grew up with. Not the flashy all style no substance company that I've seen them become.

I won't know until I play it. Going to have to be pretty amazing to top FFXIII, FFXIII-2 and Crisis Core though.

I'd really like to know if Type-0 would give it a run for its money, but sadly it looks like we won't be able to judge that any time soon.

I also really enjoyed XIII-2, but it seems that's a blasphemous statement round here.

Certainly, Bravely Default is one of the only RPG's published by Square-Enix in the west other than the much-reviled Final Fantasy XIII series in recent years, so that certainly boosts its chances.

Does look good though. Looking forward to playing it in the not-too-distant future.

Tried the demo on my 3ds and didn't like it at all. I don't understand it's constant praise, but I seriously believe that had FF XIII been called anything other than FF or was released as an exclusive on any device, it would have been praised to no end.

I loved FF XIII and XIII-2, so I hope Default surpasses them for me.

It's newer take on FF5's gameplay dynamics with I hope a better plotline/characters than 5. From what I can tell.
