Europe doesn't usually get very good treatment either because there are so many markets at play there. SCEA didn't push Vita in the US this fall because they know it would have been a waste of time. Anyway, there was a great bundle for AC4 liberation last year. If anything sells Vitas in the US it will be the free games on PS+ and reduced memory card prices. |
Please tell me that is a joke?? PS+ in Japan is insanely good. SCEJA made it awesome to try to push sales of it because Japan arent used to these sub based online services due to the lack of Xbox' pressence

SCEJA wants to have a word with you.
Soul Sacrifice Delta, Freedom Wars and Over my dead body 2 all announced for 2014.
And 3rd party affairs over there are insane with a wealth of games coming to Vita in 2014... we now just need someone to localize them all =(

How so? Do they get very recent games or something? off-topic: Is that sig of yours from the FFXV trailer?? Don't remember that |
Yeah FFXV, its Noctis and Prompto
As for Jpn PS+ just read this article from mid 2013
I guess it depends on your preference really though
btw is that censorship in both the US and EU versions or just the US?

This is one of the dumbest things I've heard in a long time. Its like saying parents shouldnt care for their children because its a waste of time. So ridicilous, cant believe you actually said that. And to top it off you finish with armchair marketing, SCEA should hire you genius. SCEA isnt some third party with little involvement, they own Vita. They'll try to do everything they can to sell Vita, unfortunately SCEA lacks the same marketing capabilities as SCEE. As the OP said, no bundles or promotions.

PS+ in Japan has more content but it's mostly crap or really old. There are zero stand out titles. Look at the current ps3 lineup:
GRAW 2
HAWX 2
Super Hang-on
Limbo
Fat Princess
Chaos Code
Viking Poipoi
Rocketbirds
Neo Geo KOF ‘95
Neo Geo Shock Troopers
Where are the big Japanese games that everyone wants to play? There aren't any, it's mostly just arcade games. Chaos Code is the only one that sparked any interest in me.
Now look at the US lineup:
XCOM Enemy Unknown
Borderlands 2
DMC
Uncharted 3
Bioshock Infinite
Binary Domain
LBP Karting
DYAD
Shadow of the Colossus
Poker Night 2
Ibb Obb
Brothers
Insanely good. More than half of them are popular retail titles, and they're all titles that I would play. PS+ has gotten better in Japan since last summer when they added all the game archives games to the lineup, but if PS1 games aren't your thing the program is still pretty terrible as a whole. Like you said, they don't have any competition over there, but that means that they have less incentive to provide value, not more.
They all have their pros and cons.
Last gen it was SCEE that was giving better PS PLUS offers.
This gen it is SCEA's turn.
Sony (as a whole) is doing fine.
