Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why so many Wii U haters???

The Wii man. It sold so much it became 7th gen console market leader.

It still hurts.

it's nature's way. when people see their enemy sick and hurting, they attack it and try to kill it like some sort of crazed duck. Nintendo has been so strong for so long but now the time is ripe to attack.

It'll pass, though. soon people won't feel threatened by Nintendo and we can move on to what's really important: the games

Its cause of brand loyalty imo... People just can't get along

Is that really an excuse? For example I have been loyal to the Nintendo and Sony brand (though i prefer Nintendo) and I've never ever said anything shitty about Microsoft and the Xbox one. Maybe I don't like the idea of the system, but I would never bash a company just for not being called 'Nintey or Sony'

IMO most of those guys are just plain trolls... that's what they are :)

I think so, I love Sony, MS and Nintendo, (MS only for Windows) but Nintendo is my favorite in terms of consoles/handheld but people want their brand to win and when they see another brand succeeding instead of theirs, they go after it in order to try and downplay it... The DS and the Wii was a large success so if the wiiU and 3ds is a large success, I think many Sony fans would be dissappointed... Not saying thats why everyone hates Nintendo but thats whats I think

People don't hate the WiiU. They hate how Nintendo had/is handling it, at least I do. Its more about 3rd party support and/or their performance than raw graphics. I feel people ignore this or dismiss 3rd partys all together. This erupts into flame wars as one group wants to deside what form of gaming is better than the other.
This either or/us vs them/1st party vs 3rd party crap has to stop. I own a WiiU, on a break from a Mass Effect 3 session right now. I like the WiiU but I also have serious issues with it. I complain about those issues. I dont believe everything is A-ok and 1st party games alone will push the console past GC levels. Does that make me a hater? Be objective.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Lol

Yeah that's probably it... I just don't understand people that downplay other consoles.

It's not like the Wii U and PS Vita are worse Systems just because they don't sell like hot cakes... And bragging about a brand is BS all together.

Remember all those Nintendomination threads back in 2007 to 2009 well this is pay back bitch and toastboy is leading the way like the general he is lol, console war never ends

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Why so much hate? It's simple. Unless you're paying for games you don't own (PS Now), paying for extremely limited BC (PS Now) and paying  for online gameplay (PS Plus/Xbox Live)....you're a f'n LOSER.

People wants Nintendo to fail hoping they becomes 3rd party and then can buy their games con other plarforms

So i'm not to sure why there are so many Wii U haters out there,  it seems alot of older gamers like to jump on the hate bandwagon.

I want to start by saying I'm 31 and I never owned the original Wii because I didn't like the idea of motion controls.  I took a chance, never trying the Wii U, I blindly bought it when the limited edition Windwaker bundle was released....and to be honest, I'm completely blown away on how awesome this machine is.  As far as gaming goes, I own 6 Wii U games so far and I am super happy on how good they are, the quality put into the games is second to none.  There are also many excellent games on the horizon (DKTF,Mario Kart 8,Smash, X,bayo 2, project cars, etc..). Also the tablet control is really comfortable and is a great inovating piece of equipment, it has numerous different uses and prolly still more to come.

I know it's apparently not as powerful as Xbox1/Ps4 but the graphics are still amazing to the naked eye.  So why is there so many haters???? Is it because the 100 million people that bought the original Wii feel ripped off because it sat on their shelves most of its lifespan? Is it because people still think that it's all about motion controls??(which it isn't, because i have never once needed a motion control for any single game), Is it because it's the "cool" thing to do to jump on the bash wagon?

I have been a gamer my whole life and I haven't had this much fun on a console in a long time.  It's looking like a really good year for Nintendo games, and gaming in general.   I really  hope that people will turn that corner and get off that bash train and realize how great the Wii U really is.

I don't hate the Wii U, but I'm steadily becoming less enamored with its more vocal supporters. The system itself is seriously unappealing to me, and the sales hinting at a troubled future don't help, but that just makes me not want to own one. What irks me is people making grandious/delusional assertions about the system's prospects. They could do to get whatcked over the head with some realism.

Realism? What's that? Don't you see the Wii U selling 190 mil. + Units lifetime... ?
