WiiU is awesome. In my eyes is just the best console out there. Off TV is just amazing. The gamepad is a great idea and its very well executed. Actually it has many great games, like a dozen or so, that are top notch. It has some really good ports also.
Overall WiiU is a must buy for gaming fans. I dont know why its so overlooked but, oh well, their decision, their loss.

I completely agree,people don't give the Wii U enough credit. It's a great system and 2014 will prove it even further! :)

I think it's a mixture of things rather than one specific issue. Some people are criticizing it's sales, some dislike that they took the focus off the wiimote, while others were Nintendo fans that felt burnt when the console they bought had a 6 month game drought because of all the delays. Many others I can't think of right now, some justified, some not.
I think primarily though, this is a sales site, so the WiiU and VITA will be constant sources of negativity at all times due to their lackluster sales.

I get your point. If someone states 'I dislike the touchsreen for various reasons' or 'I don't like the power of the Wii U' that's fine. It's his opinion.

But this thread is about other threads just saying 'Wii U sucks'   'Wii U outsold'    'Wii U flopped and bombed and got burried' you get the idea...

What? You expect me to play a game on my preferred console when I can make doom and hate posts about Nintendo on this site? That's crazy..

I don't think so many *hate* the wii-u, its just not many people care for it and believe it won't sell, and those that love the wii-u get upset by the lack of interest of those other people.

That depends if you take criticism as hate, if thats the case here is a lot of it (not helping the fact wii u is struggling)

To be honest, im way more impressed with the hardcore fanbase with double standars issues that nintendo have. You can count me as a hater if you wish (even tho, i have a wii u)

A person is not a hater, just because he sees that Wii U is struggling and will probably struggle for the rest of its life.

Also, I can only talk for myself here but I don't hate Nintendo or the Wii U, but I get really annoyed when people make completely ridiculous Wii U predictions and combine those with a very condescending attitude towards anyone that thinks otherwise, those people are the reason I personally like to point out the Wii Us bad sales, not because I hate Nintendo.

You like the Wii U? More power to you, but just try to look at the console from a more realistic perspective saleswise.

I don't hate the Wii U, but I'm steadily becoming less enamored with its more vocal supporters. The system itself is seriously unappealing to me, and the sales hinting at a troubled future don't help, but that just makes me not want to own one. What irks me is people making grandious/delusional assertions about the system's prospects. They could do to get whatcked over the head with some realism.
