Still, Knack sold much more than TW101 and most of Wii U games.

Yeah, but it didn´t sold better than any Mario game for the WiiU so far. Heck, even Lego City Undercover sold better. And people were saying that it would put Mario to the shame.... Well.....

When exactly were people saying Knack sales would put Mario sales to shame worldwide?  I don't even remember there being much comparison between the two before Knack outsold Mario in the UK.  Now I do remember a lot of people said Knack was only ahead because it was the launch week and 3D World would pull ahead.  Yet Knack has led in the UK for six out of seven weeks.  3D World didn't even chart in the top 40 the past four weeks.

No. The 2.2% is of EVERYONE that has played the game, even if just a little bit (not sure if you need to have one trophy to count). You're right in that to get a Platinum you need to play online, but that is meaningless in this regard

Well the 2.2% is everybody that played and synced the trophy list to the server even without any trophy earned .

So the guys that didn't put their PS3 online or never synced the trophies didn't count in this %.

True.

Since I don't think many bought the game and never connected online since then/synced trophies I think the "negatives" outweigh it. That means that sales are probably less than 2.8m, due to resales and multiple accounts. Still, the game might be undertracked because I doubt the difference would be THAT large.

Yes... it's more like you say, i get it wrong...But it's perfectly possible the game sold around 2-2'5m, and that number is stil very good. If GOW Ascension ends selling more than 3m the game has to be considered justified and a success for Sony, because right now, most people think the game was failure saleswise.

I bought it launch day, and beat it 3 times (i admit i didn't play too much the MP), and despite the game isn't as epic as GOW III, is still spectacular and fun as ever. For me the game don't get the credit it deserves...

this game probably had a huge amount of used game turnover.  I don't think vgchartz is really undertracked, since they don't count digital, used, borrowing, or rental.  This game specifically was probably highly rented and traded in quickly.  If anything, I think they may have overtracked the retail sales.  However, you are right that about 2.8 million people have at least put the game into their ps3 system.

1.2 million are used, digital or retal? I will have a hard time to believe that.

of course you have a hard time believing that, you are ethomaz  How many people do you think bought it used?  how many people do you think bought it digitally?  (remember it has been on sale quite a bit, as low as $10 i believe)  How many people do you think have rented it?  How many people do you think have borrowed it from a friend?  How many people have multiple psn accounts on their ps3?

You see, this is the problem of trying to get a total sales from something as vague as a trophy percentage.  It simply isn't possible as there are way too many unknowns, you can extrapolate and make guesses, but they are still guesses.  Personally, I see the vgchartz numbers as pretty close to right on, give or take 10%.  Of course, I don't expect you to believe that, because you always believe the best of any sony venture.  So believe what you will.

Digital?

It never entered at the high spots in the best sellers at PSN... games like with huge success in PSN sold 100-200k... so I can't see GoW: A doing 100k PSN.

Used?

The used market is small in my view... 100k is a hell of os number for used games.

so, out of 2.8 million, you think only 100k are used?  so only about 3% ?  well, now I can see where you are having problems at least
