2) F-Zero. Futuristic racing games are a rarity these days, but of all the ones to have existed, the F-Zero series was to me the best of the bunch. The Wii U needs all the games it can get, and I'd love to see Nintendo bring back this series, which hasn't had a new game since 2004's F-Zero Climax for the GBA, and hasn't appeared on consoles since 2003's F-Zero GX for the GameCube. With neither the DS nor the Wii getting a new F-Zero game, I think it's high time the Big N brings back its other big racing series. Sure, it's not as huge as Mario Kart, but it's something that has its audience and would be well worth bringing back.

3) Star Fox. This is another classic Nintendo franchise that needs to make a comeback.

I absolutely agree. I played "FAST Racing League" on the Wii and it was nice but it was not F-Zero. I remember the great music and the fun I had and already have with the good old F-Zero on the SNES. Btw I loved the 'Big Blue' theme the most. I hope we will see it on the Wii U and just because of the minigame in Nintendoland I am hopeful.

Until now I played no Starfox game and I enjoyed nearly every big Nintendo franchise. So I want a new Starfox and that's why I wanna see Iwata dropping some bombs this year on E3.

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

The soon to be Kid Icarus.

You're not alone! I have a soft spot for those 90s-era collectathons, too

Have you seen this? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jonaskaerlev/a-hat-in-time-3d-collect-a-thon-platformer

@OP:

Star Fox and F-Zero are at the top of my list too, along with Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. I wouldn't mind a new TimeSplitters game either.

Also, they aren't series, just single games, but I'd like to see follow-ups to Star Wars: Republic Commando, LOOM, Psychonauts, Kameo, Beyond Good & Evil, and a proper platforming sequel to Banjo-Tooie.

yes i have seen A hat in time, and i am eagerly awaiting the release of it.

Star Fox
Metroid Prime
F-Zero

Hexen/Heretic
Duke Nukem (let's forget Duke Nukem Whatever, please, and make a worthy heir of DN3D)
...and...
Half-Life?

Edit: I'd add Interstate '76 and, with the controls available now, Descent.
