Firstly it's "Is Sony having manufacturing issues", I'm really bad at getting that wrong too a lot of the time.
Secondly, if you assume VGC numbers are roughly accurate how can you conclude manufacturing problems. And considering Sony had informally said they'd exceed 3 million shipped iin 2013 and there was talk about projecting 5 million shipped for this FY it's pretty much onor likely to exceed Sony's internal projections for minimum performance. The only manufacturing problem is Sony's schedule for bringing on additional production capacity according to projections, which is short of demand, at least for now.
