In Europe having PS4 is cool, having XBONE is like "U mad bro"?

trololol.   just like they did whatever it took to make 360 be number 1 2.  just no, MS cares vastly more about profit than ranking.

xbone might take US, i'm waiting to see post ps4 supply issue sales but it has a chance.   in europe ps4 is king.

I do not see this happening. Firstly, from a business stand point, if the Microsoft Gaming division loses too much money I can honestly see Microsoft just change their entire approach to Xbox and gaming; which is why I doubt anyone in charge of marketing in that division would want to sell the system for a deeper loss. Secondly, even if they remove Kinect (which is not what you are proposing but I am just furthering my argument) I cannot see Microsoft being able to get the price low enough to sufficiently compete with PS4; yes the Xbox One hardware is less powerful and should be less expensive to produce but it is not that much less powerful and in fact very much similar to PS4 so I cannot see them drop the price too far below PS4. Lastly, Sony has exclusives that resonates better with the European market than what Xbox One offers at this point which is why I see Sony getting the upper-hand here. There is a chance that the system will do better in North America than PS4, but I will reserve my judgement on that until Sony can supply a steady shipment so that I can observe the actual demand for both systems.

Well going by the weekly charts here on VG, the PS4 is selling almost on par here in the us with XONE. But looking at Europe, the PS4 is trouncing the XONE. And remember the X360 never really sold well in Japan, so when Sony releases the PS4 there, look for another walloping of the XONE.
Sorry but, bar TitanFall being a smash hit moving Millions of consoles, the PS4 will dominate 2014.

This is what a lot of people like to ignore. Snowden stating that MS "worked closely with NSA" quickly followed by the German and French spying scandal by the US reflects poorly on kinect in Europe.

These stories probably didn't make the US news media but they were the headlines in Europe.

As for the OP stating that "MS will do anything to be no.1".  Look at Ballmer's situation now. That's why xbox is still in the red with rumours of a sell off. 

Maybe it's more intelligent to do "anything to be no 1" with Bing and Windows phone... maybe not come to think of it. That's going off topic, however.

In Europe Sony going with paid subscriptions this gen means even fewer people will be likely to pick up both consoles and they have already made their choice.

In Europe no chance. In the US even it'll be hard because Sony has the wind in it's sails this time.

Titanfall being also on the x360 and PC will not move as many xbone consoles as it would if it was exclusive.
