Yeps, game of the generation for me too.

Agreed, it is what I though it was.
The king of the generation by a long shot.

The game was great. Undoubtedly a contender for game of this generation.

Great game but not even my Game of the year....Even if the combat/AI were improved It still wouldn't crack my top 3 of the gen.

I don't agree. I think the game is good but it isn't the best game of this generation or any other.

I would say it's a remarkable experience but as a game it's just...good! But not stellar...

It's probably just me, but I don't understand how so many people so thoroughly enjoyed the Last of Us' story. The beginning and the ending were both top notch, no argument there. The rest of the game inbetween though was kind of a drag, in my opinion, though.

Maybe I'm just playing too many video games now, but I pretty much called every significant plot point happening (outside of the ending sequence) a good 15 or so minutes before it did. The deaths of Tess and Henry/Sam, and how they died, were horribly predictable. I figured out how they were going to die as soon as Tess went off screen with Ellie and when Joel got separated from Henry/Sam/Ellie in that sniper shootout scene.

The gameplay was good but not anything outstanding; my only major complaint is how Joel can be outside of a certain "environment," or room, that houses enemies and not hear a thing, but as soon as he steps into said room, the enemies will instantly become hear-able. Graphics were certainly beautiful, music wasn't all that memorable, but the sound effects were top notch.

In the end, it was good survival gameplay, a story that really excelled at two points but was fairly predictable and kind of uninteresting inbetween, good character design and development for Joel and Ellie, so overall, a good game. I certainly enjoyed Last of Us...I just feel that it's incredibly overrated considering how many people are declaring it game of the year, or even game of the generation.

Well I'm pretty sure you were supposed to figure it out at that point lol.

As good as The Last of Us is it would prob rank up there with the top.

However it becomes opinionated after that.

As for game defying, probably Call of Duty 4. It changed the entire generation and brought in millions upon millions of new gamers, from casual to hardcore yearly.

call of duty is game of the gen for the dude bros and frat boys xD but to me turned this gen way worst , everyone tried to copy the formula, fps left and right to get one piece of the pie, to me this game only made this gen worse.

And you arent the only one who matters so dont act like you are.  You asked a question so i gave you an answer.

All you can say is The Last of Us is your game of the gen

It says clear as day in the title "The Game of the Gen?"

So i answered and you say for frat boys and dudebros only which by the way is very insulting and judgemental.

Upset?  Not at all, but dont dismiss everything because you dont like something.

No way in hell, Highly over-rated. Decent story, worth a rental but wouldn't buy. Going by it's sales.. is what most people did.

No, not the game of the gen, for me anyway. I really enjoyed it. Easily in the top 10.

For me, this was the gen of mass effect
