Forums - General Discussion - So I just watched the Legend of Korra episodes "the beginning", and Wow! Why cant the whole korra show be like this?

those episodes...were just beutiful. They were smart, interesting, amazing to look at, they were perfect. That is exactly what I expect from The legend of Korra series. Why couldn't the whole series be like this? I mean I know its a flashback, but their characters were a lot more interesting, the enviroments were more interesting(awesome artstyle, looked like a painting), I was truely 100% invested in those episodes. It just shows what these creators are capable of, just dont understand why the rest of korra series cant be as good as this. I mean i enjoy it, but not as much as the beginnings, and its not even close. Maybe it was season 1 timeframe where they thought they only had one season?

It's as good as it needs to be to get the ratings.

Why go for exceptional when you can settle for just being watchable.

A lot of shows start out amazingly then get boring

Series is excellent. The creators ran into an animation issues with episodes 1-6, and episode 9. They were done by the animation studio Perriot, who also does Naratu. They were not capable of the demanding fighting choreography and it really drew this season down.

Studio Mir who did 7/8 ( The Begginings ) and the last 5 (10-14) made the series spectacular as usual. They animated all of Book 1, and the entire Last Airbender series. This is why it took so long for the season to begin since the creators were so upset with Perriots animation.

because when a excellent show is over, you can profit from limited editions, BD Packs, etc. Look at disney.

Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
