Sony launched in 50 countries, its impressive they managed to outsell Xbone in one of the 2 countries Microsoft focuses on.

PlayStation 4 has sold 530,000 units in the UK in just five weeks, according to ERA (using Chart-Track data), while Xbox One has sold 364,000 units. It's a significant gap between the two competitors, although both numbers are significantly higher than any previous console launch.

PS4 hardware sales generated £181.8m on the UK High Street, while Xbox One made £144.5m. Together, that means the UK market made over £326m from next-gen console sales.

ERA director general Kim Bayley said, “Games continues to deliver digital sales strongly, but it was disappointing that Xbox One and PS4 came so late in 2013 and then huge demand meant stock sold out quickly. Retailers will be working hard in 2014 to maintain the sales momentum of these two great new pieces of kit.”

364 000 it's in 6 weeks like the xb1's launch was 1 week before the PS4's launch

WOW incredible PS4 figures! Nex gen is really off to a huuuge start.

Where is WiiU right now? Vgchartz has it at 217K so I guess it'll be at like 260-270K by the end of the year.

this sucks

with the ps4 outselling the comp in every territory theres really no reasons for PS sales fans to be on here, i like defending and hyping up the PS consoles like with ps3 with the wait till 299 and for X games to release

im gonna have to switch sides and hype up the xb1 or even the wiiu

There are only two weeks left in the year that we don't have VGC UK numbers for.  It is unlikely to average the 21-26k per week to reach those numbers.  There is also the factor that we were told the Xbox One's first week of ~150k was "just a few thousand" from the Wii U's total sales.  VGC shows the Wii U at 195k that week.
