According to VGC WiiU has now reached 5 million sold world wide after releasing November of 2012. This is a great milestone for the WiiU with plenty more games coming in the future to boost it even further.

NSLU i can say has alot more due to digital sales. It was released 2 months before retail + it cost $20 only

As I said, it would at least reach 5 million LT by the end of the year. Too bad it didn't do more, but considering how shitty sales were for much of 2013 (due to lack of software), I'd say the last four months of the year were a success for Nintendo. Here's to them keeping a steady flow of games going from now on, and a much more successful 2014.
