I recently bought an XBO and I bought AC4 digitally because there was no discount on the retail copy at the time. The other three games I have for my XBO are hard copys that were given to me as Christmas gifts.

So I have 3 quetions to the gamers here who have bought a Wii U, Xbox One or PS4:

1. How many games have you bought digitally so far? (For this lets only count games that are also available on retail as well.)

2. If the game is the same price both digitally and in retail, which will you buy and why?

3. If the game is only slightly more expencive for the one you prefer, let's say $5-$10 more, will you buy the cheaper one or your preferance?

My answers: 1. Just one game so far that is available on retail. I have also bought two more games that are DL only games. 2. If they are the same price I will buy digitally. Since I don't resell games, it's just more convienent. 3. If it's only $5 more, I will buy digitally. If it's $10+ differance, I'll buy the cheaper one.

On wiiU:

1) Wind Waker HD, Injustice, Nano Assault Neo, EarthBound, Might Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, Nes Remix and about 8 30 cent games. (14)

2) I would buy the physical copy unless the digital copy comes out 2 weeks earlier and the physical copy doesn't come with any bonuses like OST and etc

3) $5, doesn't really matter but anymore does matter

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

For full price games? 0, I dislike DD on consoles.

None yet. All my PS4 games are retail.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

None. I only buy digital games if $15 or less, or when no other choice is available.

Good point. I didn't even think to ask if people would buy the digital copy instead of retail to get it earlier.

1) I've bought three retail games on my Wii U. Pikmin 3, SM3DW, and Wind Waker HD.

2) Which I buy depends entirely on the game and the prices. If they're the same price, then it's all about how frequently I think I'll be playing the game and if I think I'll ever sell it.

3) The only situation in which I would pay a little more to have the digital version would be on my 3DS. Swapping out discs from my Wii U isn't a bit deal, but there's no way I'll buy something like Pokemon or Animal Crossing in physical form and keep having to either bring all my games with me or just not switch games on the go.

But really, it mostly comes down to price. I almost always wait until I can get a game for pretty cheap. Nintendo has recently come out with a pretty big batch of games I'd like to get sooner rather than later however, so I decided to treat myself and spend more than I usually would. The main reason I bought Mario and Zelda digitally is because between the Deluxe Digital Promotion, Club Nintendo coins, and discounted eShop cards at Best Buy, these full-price games became thirty-somthing dollar games. The choice was obvious. And the reason I bought Pikmin digitally was because it was one of those nearly extinct cases for me where I wanted a game the exact second it released and wanted it loaded and ready to go at all times, and I had no intention of ever selling it.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

I have bought several for the Wii U because of the DDP, otherwise I buy retail

The better question would be how retail Wii U games do I own? 3. I think I own over 25 digital games. Most are virtual console. Some are indie. More are "regular/AAA." Sonic Lost World, Deus Ex, AC4, and Super Mario 3D World are all digital for me, and I really wish that my versions of Sonic Racing, Nintendo Land, and Injustice were digital too. I actually may sell them and repurchase their digital versions in the future to be honest. Digital is so much better.

Only 1 so far. Assassin's Creed III on my Wii U that is.
Can't resist to the price of only 9.99€ :D

But then there are cases like Super mario 3d world, which costs 59.99€ in the eshop and 52€ retail. I don't understand that but well...

I only buy digital games if there is an extremely good offer.
