Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who here still enjoying their next gen purchases?

Little anecdotal--I have three friends at work and one kid, my daughter's first cousin-that got next gen consoles.

Friend one got a PS4 on day one and bragged right up until launch. Realized that he sold his PS3 and couldn't play Call of Duty with his PS3 friends. He isn't so happy anymore.

Friend two got an Xbox One and doesn't even have internet at home. He only has Call of Duty Ghosts.

Friend three sold his PS3 AND 360 and his games (plus two that I loaned him!) for an Xbox One. He was telling me to give in and buy one. Yesterday, he told me not to buy. He's actually playing his first soccer video game ever because nothing appeals to him.

And my "nephew" got both the PS4 and Xbox One for Christmas (he has every 7th gen console, too). He didn't know you had to pay to play online on PS4. He also didn't know that you can't play with your non 8th gen friends. He got Madden on PS4 and NBA 2K on Xbox One. Every time I log into my 360, he's on too! GTAV, WWE2K14, and NBA 2K14--which he owns on Xbox One--is all he plays!!

So out of everyone I know with a next gen console, NONE of them seem too impressed. The one guy that wanted me to get one said he doesn't regret buying it. He just hates not having any good games to play. I'm glad I haven't given in to impulse, yet. I will soon, though......

I play my 3ds and Wii u daily. I didn't bother wasting my cash on the xbone or ps4 yet....when i see some good games come out then i will consider a ps4....definately not xbone
