Just to destroy your argument once and for all:

PS4 sold 18k in "others" last week.

PS4 launched in a LOT of more "others" countries this week.

PS4 sold 18k in "others" this week

Does that make sense to you? Please, look at the evidence and tell me it makes sense with a straight face.

Yes, it makes.

You are the one that think 18k is too low. I think it´s a Ok number.

It might be adjusted up by 30k and it´s still a reasenable number. Would you think 50K is low either?

Again, dosen´t matter if the PS4 is lauched in those countries if they shipped few units.

Just deal with it.

You're the one who is ignoring all the facts, and yet you have the audacity to try to call other people out for posting when they even bring out evidence. Don't call for evidence only to ignore it when you're presented with it.

So 18k last week in fewer countries vs. 18k this week in more countries (launch week in many countries) makes sense to you. Good to know...lol. We're done here, since you're just ignoring the evidence for pete knows whatever reason.

What evidences do I have?

What evidences do YOU have?

What evidence does VGChartz have?

We are dealing here with assumptions. And I think the VGChartz figure makes sense. More countries dosen´t mean more unities.

Again, please, tell us your assumption for what you think would be a good number for WW salles the 14th week.

I think all three manufacturers should be decently happy right now...

Wii U sales are not as strong as X1 and PS4, but they have improved as of late quite substantially in comparison to last gen consoles.

PS4 sales are strong, and are limited by the ability of Sony to produce consoles. Sony has targeted 5 million PS4's by March. Looks like they will get there if they can get the supply out in the wild!

X1 sales are good as well. MS was targeting about 3 million X1's by March. Looks like they will clear that hurdle easily.

I am sure that X1 and Wii U would like to be in better shape, but they are holding their own decently right now. PS4 is easily going to be at the top of the generation for the foreseeable future, but E3 is an opportunity for both MS and Nintendo to take some momentum back.

It doesn't make sense that others has sold the same in the previous week as the next week in more markets, I think common sense dictates that there must be a least some bump.

Not to mock VGChartz, as I do like to read/post here, but whenever i read hardware numbers, I take them with a massive pinch of salt as they are normally adjusted...

Considering how well the PS3 has sold in *others* according to VGC over the years, it would seem stupid for Sony to only ship 18-20k. That indeed does seem very low indeed does it not?

As for Brazil, are we really using that as a barometer of how many consoles Sony would ship. Considering their stupid import laws, of course you are not going to ship many there, cause they aint going to sell.

Also on the numbers that Sony said they wanted to sell 5 million by the end of their financials. This was a number they gave that they hoped they would reach. It seems like a reasonable number. Do you think Sony would risk saying we want to sell 6-8 million.. and then it falls flat on its face. Look how bad it looked for Nintendo when they had to keep revising the numbers down from 5 million. Companies generally try to be positively cautious, and I guess after what happened with the vita, I'm sure Sony didn't want to over guess. So do i think they can sell more than 5 million, yes. Do i think they can ship more than 3 million by 31st Dec... yes.

I don't believe Sony will release we have hit 3 million, 4 million updates.. I really believe the next time they say anything about sales it will be when they talk about 5 million sales, as if they hit it early then it will be a positive compared to their suggested sale point.

Anyway guess we shall see soon enough.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

WiiU is overtracked in NA, 3DS too to a lesser extend...

Funny Xbone and PS4 still beat WiiU in Xmas time despite supply limitations and one territory less. It's gonna be slaughter in 2014.

Ohhhhhh the VGChartz Shit Posts will love that one.

"More countries dosen´t mean more unities."

Yeap... More countries maybe means less units... fantastic.

That isnt evidence, it is assumptions based off of random users.  Forum posters has proved to be pretty accurate over the last year.......

Anyways, as for the 13 country thing we dont know if VGC has tracked those yet.  Even so it will lead to more divided sells just like it did with europe/america.  They likely wont be shipping more units*(or much more).  They will just be more spread out.

If you say so...

But you said it would do 12.3m this calendar year.... ending the year at 87.5m shipped and 89m by March 31st 2014.

I reckon you are about 4m too high already.

I did warn you that you were miles off.

lol.

Yeap... I'm off like you are with 30% down

Exactly, Sony is the best when it comes to getting their systems into "other" countries. It makes NO sense for them to allocate 20k units for a launch in over a dozen countries.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Without getting caught up in the hoopla of next gen consoles, I'm pretty happy with PS3 sales this holiday/year. It has lost only one week to X360 on Black Friday and won every other week of the year thus far. Have to take a second to commend that one. :)

In regards to next gen, pretty dissapointed in PS4's NA sales. That overall NA lead will be gone in a week or two.
