PS4 was released here in South Africa on the 13th as well.Sold out on the first day and we have even received our second allocation before christmas which has sold out as well. Dont know how they can ommit complete regions from the chart. Thought we were just listed as "other" in the past.

I was expecting a gape like that. Ia surprise it's not actually more since the PS4 was barely a available in the US. But with the big shipments made after 14th, I expect the PS4 to be on top next week in the US.

Anyways some guy on here actually argued with me that total launch sales of SA would be 2k LOL

Just going around to some of the BT games stores and asking about launch numbers and you can already tell that 2k is waaaay below what actually sold in SA.

Its tough though for Vgc to track regions like Africa, Middle East and other minor regions. They are open about this short comming and thats why the charts focus on the bigger regions. But to be clear the "Other" regions is still included in the total sales figures. Its just not specifically stated and you need to substract the known regions from the total to get the balance...which will be the "Other" regions. Not sure why they dont just do it for us. Sorry if you already knew that.

Kinda off topic, but still to due with sales. Did anyone make a thread, or even update one, about the PS4 being in stock again on Amazon (sold out now) and its #1, again? I just haven't heard anyone talking about it and didn't realize they got more stock.

I prefer to look at the 2013 sales leaders,   PS4 has moved up to 6th and the XB1 is now in 18th

You definitely can. One is $400 and supply constrained while also not being out in Japan.
