Forums - Gaming Discussion - Battlefield 4's aim assist is ridiculous

I don't see a problem. Games have had lock-on features since the N64 :P

This game as a whole and 3 are so sub par when compared to the previous games in the series....It is ridiculous. I feel bad for everyone who paid money for this game. I do not feel bad for people who paid for premium AFTER playing 3 or 4 though. Fool me once.  Go back and play BF2 or 2142 or even BC2 and then play 3 and 4.  The differences in quality, fun, teamwork, and even basic functionailty are staggering.

The problem is that it takes away the skill of shooting in a shooting game and it's contributing to the low TTK of the game.

Personally I always thought Aim Assist should be put in just about every game, but it should be VERY subtle. MAG for example had Aim Assist but it was so subtle that you had to try incredibly hard to notice it.

It is "Assist," not Auto...

If they took out aim assist in BF4, people would complain.

I dislike the snap on when aiming assist.. Who invented that? I went through games just constantly pressing the aim button and shooting cause you couldn't turn it off.. Aim assist is fine but this snap on when aiming is making it too easy..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Mag has zero assist....and no no shooting game should have aim assist, the entire concept of aim assist is stupid. Why do you want the game to help you aim? It's stupid, and more dumbing down of games.

Play Killzone if you don't want aim assist. A lot of people hate the Killzone franchise because they continue to ignore aim assist that noobs seem to love so much.

Yeah, but Killzone 3 has shitty map designs, low TTK, and is boring as shit.

The MP in KZ3 is as good as any.

I was kidding. I was likening it to the lock-on feature from games like Zelda where you can't miss.
