The play station console will be around a lot longer then xbox

Microsoft has always been really good at working with other companies. That's why as much as the like to make a rivalry between Apple and Microsoft, MS still makes much of the business software that runs on Apple.

And Sony still makes computers that run Windows.

I don't think they care as much about the competition as some people do here. They might look at what another company does, and think. How can we innovate and make it even better.

The OP makes sense, why 1up the competition with 20million when you can score a double and steal their fans for the same price. Ok the end result of what he suggested happening might be a bit extreme but that doesn't change that toastboy made a good point, Please keep in mind toastboy that there are indeed a few people who enjoy your posts/threads so yeah post away imo.

Finally a good post. People don't understand simple economics. Why add to your product when you can add to your product AND take away from a competitor's product. Killing two birds with one stone

aye makes perfect sense, if a shop is selling bread you can open up a shop next to it and try to sell bread you made yourself, or go in the first shop, buy all their bread and sell that for an inflated price. Especially when HD bread takes years to bake :D

Microsoft has tried before with first party and has had far more failures than successes with the first Xbox. The 360 they decided its more profitable to have third parties do the work and then make specific content or games exclusive to their brand. They are watching Sony's gaming fleet increase and because of that they will try to follow suit. Essentially what Sony does they will do to try and overshadow them.

I have seen many posts in my time , where I have inwardly applauded the author for their sense of satire , usually because of the wtf nature of the post only to find out that it was said in earnest .

  So having said that It is with more  hope than certainty that I say keep up the satire .

It's almost as if the OP is trying to be a joke and not to be taken seriously.
