Its on the 25th. Its the day marked as a holiday in the calender.

Of course, you start celebrating on christmas eve, and the opening of the presents is at midnight, so, when the christmas day itself starts.

I am confused as to why this wasnt clear to you though.

Usually, Christmas Eve is the big celebration, with the big dinner and gift exchange with the relatives/extended family and a late night of games and booze. Christmas day is much more laid back, waking up at noon, eating leftovers or pizza delivery and exchange of gifts within the immediate family.. And usally more booze.

Same for me. United States and non-religious.

In denmark we celebrate christmas on the 24th in the evening. We dont call it anything with christ however, but "jul". All religions is welcome to celebrate it and by this point it has lost all religious meaning and is prety much just a tradition.

In Austria christmas takes place on the 24th of December. Usually my family and I visit relatives or they visit us. We just have a little lunch and a traditonal supper. After that it's time for the presents. At 22 o'clock to the church service and... shortly after to bed. (parents only - my brother and me celebrate it a bit longer)

On the 25th, 26th and New Year we usually have a feast.

For you, yes. If you would read the other users comments you will see that it is not celebrated on the 25th everywhere.

Seems like Europe and China celebrates it on the 24th. North-, South America and Australia on the 25th or both.

Every day is Christmas!!!
