Which day do you or your country celebrate christmas?

24th December
25th December
26th December
Other date/Don't celebrate it

Yeah I feel a bit confused with all the "merry christmas" on the 25th, because I thought it was on the 24th of December. I did a little reading and saw that it was even celebrated on the 26th.

So which day do you celebrate christmas?
And why do you celebrate it; because of Jesus, santa, gifts, tradition, don't celebrate it or you just do what the calendar tells you to do?

In China we celebrate it on the 24th, but Christians(small minority) celebrates it on the 25th.

Oh, and please specify which country you are from!

I celebrate it on the 24th because of tradition and presents, I myself am irreligious.

24th is christmas eve
25th christmas day
26th boxing day

celebrate all three

i celebrate it on both the 24 and 25. my fathers side of the family gets together on the 24 and have a party and give the children gifts . on the 25th the the immediate family opens presents we got each other and from Santa both are traditions in my family

I'm a Christian living in America and celebrate Christmas on the 25th. The 24th is Christmas Eve to me. I was wondering why so many people were already saying Merry Christmas and had presents opened already. I didn't realize that other countries celebrated on a different day.

Celebrate Christmas on the 25th but open presents on New Year's

One side of the family on the 24th the other on the 25th.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I live in Australia and Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December.
I as an orthodox Christian on the other hand celebrate Christmas on the 7th of January due to us still following the old Julian calendar.

edit- On the old calendar it is actually 25th December as well but because the old Julian and new Gregorian calendars are out of sync this accounts for the different dates in practice. Hope I explained it properly :)

Usually, Christmas Eve is the big celebration, with the big dinner and gift exchange with the relatives/extended family and a late night of games and booze. Christmas day is much more laid back, waking up at noon, eating leftovers or pizza delivery and exchange of gifts within the immediate family.. And usally more booze.
