Preferred console, as in which one I prefer between the current gen consoles or any/all of my preferred consoles?

If I go with the first I would say the PS4, and the reason I would put is that I really like the Sony first party games out there and also they have many third party games that are awesome. I also prefer the PS controllers over Nintendo's latest controllers(Wii, WiiU) and the controllers for Xbox-consoles. And of course the hardware in the PS4 and price is the best.

So this gen my preferred console is PS4, but I also like the Wii U, mainly or perhaps only for Nintendo's own games. I will most likely not buy the X1, but of course it is a good console and will have many great games. But I don't feel the need to own three consoles, and the PS4 will have 90% of the games that the X1 will have, since most games are always multi-platform.

And overall I would say that SNES and PS2 are my all time favorites.

It is the only place I can get Nintendo games.

P.S.4 due to it surely having the best library during its lifetime, better exclusives and better multi plats

I have the Xbox One and let me tell you: the cloud thing is a gigantic headeache, even the cool things like Xbox Fitness depends on a good internet speed.

Xbox 360 - It's what my friends have, better online (including party chat) even though you have to pay for it

8th gen

I'll be going with PS4 (but don't have any new console yet) - $100 cheaper than X1 and I have as much interest in getting Kinect as I do an STD.

PS3 - I'm not sure really, I just woke up with a PS3 and before I knew it I had more games for it than my Wii and 360 so I just continued to buy for it.

8th gen
I'm not sure yet maybe I'll decide when I get my PS4, but I'm leaning towards the Xbone. I like to root for the underdog.

I love reading comment saying how X company has the best first party line-up. xD

I prefer Xbox because I like the controller, plus Xbox gets 3rd party, and I love the UI/interface.

I really like games, so I've owned every console & portable in prior generations.

Last gen

PS3: My preferred because I love PlayStation (you can call me fanboy but PS1 & PS2 were great), and the PS3 in its own merit got so many great games I haven't even caught up all that I want to play. It did not collect dust, and it was also my Blu-ray player.

360: But before PS3 there was 360.  360 had great online.  I enjoyed exclusives like GoW, and Halo 3 a lot and it was great for online co-op with friends.  PS3 online really really sucked early on:(.  Then the 360 broke, and broke again, and again, then the disc drive became unreliable, then it caught dust.

Wii: Enjoyed Zelda and Mario on Wii. Then I lent it to friends, then it caught lots and lots of dust.

PSP & DS: Dust dust dust.  They were fun but I realized I don't have the opportunity to play on the go enough to justify owning a portable.  If I had to take public transport I would use them, but I just drive.

This gen

PS4: My preferred because of the good times with PS3, and it's 1st to market, and it's powerful, and has good online, and is well priced and covers all bases. I have the expectation that it will get great 1st and 3rd party support. Last gen my friends & I got X360 for online play but this gen we are getting PS4.

Wii U: Unwrapping the Wii U with SMBU, SM3DW and Rayman Legends tomorrow.  Expectations are high.

XB1: When big exclusives come out.  For now it's redundant.

Vita & 3DS: I'll try not to buy something I won't use again.
