I've seen a few articles posted here about how there is lag if you attempt to play another game console on X1's HDMI input... but I actually tested it myself. Why did I bother? I wanted to play 360 while still being able to chat on Skype on the same TV.

My conclusion... the lag is barely noticeable in my opinion and probably most apparent when playing FPS games competitively. We're talking a fraction of a second. I'm not sure I would have even noticed the lag without it being brought to my attention.

I've read about the lag from multiple places, no offense but I believe them over you, especially considering your a huge X1 fan.

Yeah, my 360 is fine. Playing Wolfenstein 3-D on it at the moment and haven't noticed any lag. Might try some split-screen later and see how it goes.


Either way, I'm sure it will improve later as will most things on the console.

There is lag?

 

I've played a few 360 games this way, and the lag is not noticable mostly. The only way I noticed lag was cod ghost, turning the stick sensitivity to max and did a bunch of hurky jerky spins and snap aims and there was a slight lag. most things are very playable. I wouldn't play cod games online though as  millerseconds from connection, tv response, and controller to console already decides who wins a one on one shoot out as it is, not point adding another factor to that.

Any lag at all I would think would have to do more so with the hdmi chord itself rather than an xone performance issue.

The difference is between what you were saying about it being barely noticable and them saying it was annoying.
