How on Earth are they allowed to have that many just sitting there on the floor? At the Best Buy I work at we have to keep all PS4's and Xbox One's in the back untill a customer wants one.

I haven't been driving all over town looking for PS4s and XB1s, but I've yet to see one of either at retail. I'll admit to feeling a bit of excitement when I saw both available through Amazon last week, which lasted less than a day.
