Thuway's numbers were from just a day or two ago though, right? The numbers are WELL over 2 days late, over a week late in fact, so it can't be that.

No. Simply noone knows the numbers shipped and to where they shipped. There are anectotal numbers thrown around (like 500k units for PS4 Asia launch - I don't think there were more than 150-200k units for that launch). If either company flew in a week's ratio instead of shipping it (given a 250k/week manufacturing rate), anyone's numbers could be off by 50-100%. There simply is no good data to make a good prediction.
