Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is Microsoft outshipping SONY in the U.S.?

I've been in to my local target, wal mart, and best buy in the past few days and the xbone shelves have been desimated not a single one found in the wild so that picture is very surprising.

If you used your credit card at target recently, You card number was most likely stolen. So you better cancel or check on it immediately.

I wonder how much business Target lost because of this.

We'll let the official numbers do the talking, not some anecdotal evidence talk.

What is TJ Maxx?

I'm going to give the most honest answer possible here: we will never know.

Even when we get shipping numbers from the manufacturers themselves (assuming we get clear numbers anyway), we won't know where they were allocated. So there really isn't much you're going to get from this topic that isn't a somewhat biased or anecdotal observation.

probably in the US, after all Sony is catering to like 4 times more countries than microsoft right now.

Your math sucks.

52 = 4x

48 = 3.69x

Part of launching is knowing how well you can supply the countries you launch in.  What's the point in launching in 48 countries if you can't support 48 countries with supply?

Wat...

3.69 times the amount is pretty close to 4 times the amount.

The point of launching in 48 countries is getting an early lead in most countries in the world. What's even more impressive is that despite launching in almost 4 times as many countries and One selling much less outside of America, PS4 has still sold more than One in America.

There is a saying in my country.  Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

Math is a science.  3.7 times as many is close.  There is a significant difference between 3.69 and 4.  It isn't close.

Had Microsoft launched around the world, but been unable to supply a world market with consoles would we argue that it's better?  No, you'd be arguing that it was unrealistic of Microsoft to launch world-wide and that they should have picked their launch markets better.

Yeah, significant difference... Of 4 countries...
