Iv;e been a gamer for some time now and Iv'e had a few favorite games in my lifetime.
Sonic The Hedgehog brings back fond memories of my Genesis and my huge obsession with all things Sega, but Lara Croft and Tomb Raider took over my life when Tomb Raider was released on the Sega Saturn.
The lush jungle, the grand adventure, the puzzles, the twin guns (No not her chest) the mysterious tombs, they all painted a picture of something fresh, something new, something needed, A believable adventure.
Fast forward to November 2007, the introduction of Drake and The birth of Uncharted.
It all came rushing back. The adventure, the combat, the tombs, the lush jungle's, the guns, It was Lara Croft's Tomb Raider in a fresh updated coat of paint. It's been a long time since I felt that kind of rush, the rush of the adventure. The great story telling in a game, the huge explosions and best of all, the controls were PERFECT.
Uncharted 2 introduced multi-player which was a nice extension of the locals within the game. Something I did not see coming.
Uncharted 3 was almost perfect. Drake has renewed my love for the action adventure genre. With his smart remarks, beautiful locations, big explosions and tight controls, Nathan Drake and the Uncharted franchise is my #1 Sony 1st party title.
