That's the kind of mentality that could potentially hurt Dark Souls II; and the one I'm expecting even from some of the DS fanbase. I can understand not all people will have time and money by the time DS2 arrives, but the fact that there's no next-gen port makes it even less bearable now.

Most of the fan base is pretty serious and extremely passionate, the souls series has a very vocal and passionate fan base. So, yes I think it'll do fine.

Less than Dark Souls. Releasing after PS4/One is gonna hurt it somewhat.

Late in gen release hurts, but should still sell quite well.

yeah, and i'm pretty sure i won't be the only one.   ...thing is, with DS i played it exclusively for about 8 months straight.  that kind of "commitment" right after getting a ps4 is just not appealing.   had it hit this holiday i would have been there but that delay to 2014 killed it for me.   that late and a next gen port is manditory if they want to retain their audience.

I still don't know why from software won't do a port to next gen consoles considering the similar architecture that the PS4 and the X1 have compared to PC.

For some reason, I've never liked the Knight's armor. It was too obtuse in Demon's Souls (seriously, wtf with the helmet), too simple in Dark Souls and now it is too "decorated" in Dark Souls 2.

Less than the first. It's an ending gen, plus it's another sequel.
I'll be there, though.
