Forums - Sales Discussion - So how bad is Xone looking to beat PS4 in Dec NPD/USA sales?

Take a look at the PS3 vs X360 charts for the last year.
360 won the Us on a monthly basis, while the PS3 won Japan and the rest of the world.

Now lets go back to the 2nd year of the 360 on the market, they had an almost 7 million console lead on the PS3.
Fast forward to today. The PS3 has passed 360 total sales worldwide.

So why would Sony allocate all of their consoles to the US when the Playstation brand is popular worldwide.

Lets not forget that 360 sells like crap in Japan, so we should expect the same for the XboxOne, and the PS4 has not even launched their yet.

Indeed,  Xbox 360 launched 1 year before the PS3 and even with a high price, a bad start and Xbox outsells PS3 2:1 to the US, they has passed Xbox 360 total sales worldwide and the gap will widen in the future. The most important for sony is selling worldwide.

Are you serious?

The many you see in stock are because they are not selling. While on the other hand, PS4 is gone within minutes.

Are people seriously STILL denying that the Xbox One is selling? Its been selling more in the US every week since it released.

about as bad as PS4 will beat Xbone in the rest of the world

Get Your Portable ID!Lord of Ratchet and Clank

Duke of Playstation Plus

Warden of Platformers

probably somewhere between 2:1 to 3:1 in NA MS has been doing an incredible job of getting the product on the shelf, Sony has clearly allocated to other areas.

Not by much, I've seen Xbox Ones at stores several times while Christmas shopping, nobody seemed to notice, just walking past as usual. I noticed because I check the new gen stock every time I'm at the store out of curiosity, as of this post I still have NEVER seen an actual PS4 system in stock (been to Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart). I'm thinking even if Xbone outsells PS4 in Dec. it won't be by much, and in Jan/Feb when PS4's shipments come in they'll continue selling like hotcakes.

Ya Sony will loose NA at the expense of the rest of the world......so really it isn't a big deal for them (Sony) lol. Sony is stretched way more thin then MS country wise, it makes sense that MS is trying to secure their one true stronghold.

I say 1.5x of a lead for Dec

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

You can also look at it like: there are so many X1's still on shelves and not selling. Demand is not so strong.

MS is putting all their supply eggs in one basket though, Sony is in demand but stretched more thin

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Why do you think they're on the shelves?

Look at US sales since November 23rd. You seriously believe they aren't selling?
