To you, maybe. But hopefully for the rest of the world, they don't need your opinion to feel fully satisfied with their games and consoles and view them in a different light than yours.

Yeah, the ones who voted 8.

9 or 10 is ridiculous. Assuming most early adopters are "core" gamers like us, they know what 9 and 10 are. We don't even have half the features that will come out later. What will they score it then? 15/10? 

Extremely satisfied? Yes the ones that voted 10. The graph clearly is about the current satisfaction that they get from the console, is obvious that most of them will vote that they are extremely satisfied. Almost everyone is extremely satisfied when they are using a new console for the first time.

 

On anothe point, this graph lacks confidence intervals, and I can't find any info of how many people were asked or if this was a random sample, so... that's that.

If someone goes into launch thinking the titles will be alright, as they are just launch titles, and doesnt expect the world right away, then a launch doesnt need to be perfect for someone to be 10/10 satisfied.

How are we supposed to know if they actually had the PS4 or Xbox One?

It just says Gamespot users, they could have an Ouya for all we know and just voted for the hell of it.

Perfect to someone could mean it plays Knack. Someone isn't 39%.

I don't think you're getting what they're trying to tell you.

The poll is for satisfaction. You're saying because console doesn't have xyz, it has affected my experience so I rate it 8. Another person says I don't care for xyz, I only care for abc and I'm extremely satisfied. 10.


I get that. The consoles are not complete yet... They'll be twice as good, if not more in a few years. You can't be more satisfied than 10/10...

It's a measure of the user's current experience with the product.

Exactly... an experience which will get better? Or will the consoles stay the same as they are? Will the games?

No game on the systems has even been rated that high. How can they experience what isn't there?  On this site, we know games. We know consoles and we know that at launch, they're not half as good as what they will be later. I understand some may be very satisfied, but more than half of the votes are in 9 and 10/10... That is ridiculous.
