Ps4 feels cheap and flimsy, just like almost every Sony product I have ever bought. I've seen the coating of DS4 analog sticks peel of in few days.

I would not touch that version of the console.

Come on dude, I don't necessarily like the DS4 but it isn't cheap and flimsy.

Yeah I have to agree that was just a pointless insult and obvious dig. But you get my respect murph even though you prefer the XB controllers you said the DS4 is not cheap and flimsy. Much respect!

PS4 is smaller more powerful and includes the power supply inside said smaller casing, the Build quality is a lot better in every way.

Xbox1 is basically the size of a small media PC and they still couldn't put the PSU inside it, pretty bad hardware design.

why was this moderated when equally flippant and dismissive Xbox ONE critiques get a pass?

and one poster here is simply causing aggro.

The PS4 looks much better than the Xbone. The PS4 shape is just sexy! Quality is a similar story.

According to a new study; YouTube, Xbox.com, NeoGaf, N4G, VGChartz, IGN, GameSpot, GameStop, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, All of Europe, FAMITSU, Japan, the rest of Asia and The whole of the Middle East among countless others are experiencing a Tsunami of people in love with Sony's gamings offerings.

Xbox one better materials. Playstation has gone the cheaper plastic route since the last ps3 iteration.

The ps4 controller also has issues that are well reported, but downplayed obviosuly.

Dont see how this is arguable to be honest.

there's no reason he should have been modded for that post.
none.
I'd lke the mod to point out what forum rule was voilated in his post and then explain why Ashadian, who derogatorily asked another user if he was going to have sex with his HDMI cable, wasn't corrected in any way.

as a mod, you're suppose to be unbias. if you can't do that, whoever you are, than you shouldn't be a mod cause you seem to be having trouble doing such a simple task fairly.

Well to be honest there are been reports of the XB1 having Bluray drive problems  and D-pad issues with the XB1 as well. And I have also heard the problems witht he PS4 analog sticks on teh controller as well though!

And when you say XB1 has better materials or you talking about the ourside or the inside of the machine? Because look wise I think(personally anyway) that the PS4 looks a lot better and more "sleek" thant he XB1 even with the "plastic" route. Don't get me wrong both look great if you ask me.

And I must also say that the PS4 is smaller, more powerful, sleeker and doesn't have a power brick that is some good build quality if you ask me. So while I always respect your opinon because you are without a doubt one of the most well informed posters ont eh site. I guess I can't agree with you saying you don't see how this is arugable. No disrespect intended! Peace!

I respect your opinion.  But design is nothing to do with build quality.  I actually hate the PS4 design, the ONE design does nothing for me either.  But then the design of a console never has been a factor for me... If it had then I doubt many consoles would have got through my door as most are hideous imo.

Based on the tear downs they both look well designed but with different philosophies.

There's no getting around the fact the X1 is big and that giant fan should help keep it cool. They even kept the external power brick so there's plenty of space for cooling. Guess they don't want a RRoD so they've over-engineered it to keep cool.

The PS4 looks more intelligently engineered. It uses Sony's smaller cooling system even though it has a lot less room for cooling and manages to have an internal PSU whilst using up a lot less space.

Power brick is outside the case because of cooling. They designed the console to be on 24/7 365 so they went with large case that has tons of vents 2 of 3 that can be blocked at any one time. A huge fan that takes up 1/3 of the case. Lower power Ram that runs a bit cooler and power supply outside the case to not introduce any further heat. Remember, the orginal Xbox 360 had issues with heat so they over designed the Xbox One to compensate and ensure that would never be an issue again.
