Forums - Nintendo Discussion - When will Wii U price drop?

I really want a Wii U, but I think price is a bit too high right now, close to 300 bucks for a new, unbundled console.

Please don't turn this into a flamewar, I just want good projections as to when the price could drop.

Or if anyone could show me a good deal that'd be fine as well.

$300 with a bundled game ( or two  in the case of the Mario bundle) is pretty good.

Yeah I think you have your bundling info a little mixed up.

As for when it will drop next, I would say sometime between April-August of next year there will be another price reduction. This would come after this fiscal year is over and probably alongside Mario Kart 8 IMO.

September 2014 $250

A Wii U console not bundled with a game, just the console itself.

It already got a price drop. The $300 new console comes with New Super Mario Bros U, and New Super Luigi U. I bought mine at launch for $349 with Nintendo Land.

I don't see the price going down until the PS4 or Xbox goes below $400. But Nintendo may do a price drop before Christmas 2014 but that would most likely be the earliest.

The ps4 is already below $400. It's $399.

Also the WII U already had a price drop. From $349(deluxe) to $299.

If you keep your eyes peeled you probably will be able to find a $250 deal on the Wii U at some point probably even this month. Retailers price drop on it all the time.

NewEgg apparently has the Skylanders + Nintendo Land bundle for $219.99 if you're in the US --

When I click on it, it comes to $249.99 though. But keep in mind this bundle only comes with 8GB storage.
