I did a somewhat in depth look at why the XBONE's post Christmas drop off should be worse than the Wii U's. Here's a link to it since it pertains to this thread.

I predicted 210k for the XBONE and VGCHARTZ has it at 290k. I was way off and for a while I started to doubt this thread's prediction. ioi actually talked to me about this though. Last year the 52nd week had two big days of shopping while this year it has three. I was still flat out wrong with my weekly numbers, but it shows that next week's data should give a better comparison.

What this really comes down to is if xbone's lead in NA will overcome Japan for Wii U.

Haha I myself is a little surprised how well Xbox One is holding up. I think the One will have great legs in the US throughtout the year

How didn't you see that coming, the xbox 360 did 518k in it's first january back in 2006 :S and the X1 is tracking way above it
